A Modern Second Storey Extension in Jannali

The Project

Located in the suburban streets of Jannali, Blue Build were engaged to complete this renovation and extension on an existing dwelling. The client requirements were to create more space for the family by adding a master bedroom that also featured an en-suite and walk-in wardrobe.

Blue Build were meticulous in their planning so that the family could still live within the home while the build was being completed. The master bedroom features generous natural lighting from the added clerestory windows and features LED downlights that provide effortless charm.

The walk-in wardrobe gave Sheree and Grant the ability to better utilise and store their belongings. The walk in wardrobe provides a must-functional space, ease of access to belongings and better ventilation to clothing and belongings.

The walk-in wardrobe leads you through to the en-suite which is a mini retreat away from the rest of the family that features a shower, bathtub, basin and toilet. Cement-wash grey tiles are featured as flooring and also as a feature wall behind the bath. A small recessed shelve behind the bathtub provides that extra little touch that makes the usability of a space better.

The basin is coloured in matte black which ties in with the other black fittings within the room. The cabinetry features a wooden countertop that adds extra warmth into the otherwise monochromatic space. There is storage within this cabinetry and also above in the mirrored cabinet that doubles as a mirror and small shelving unit.

Overall this renovation and extension has provided the family home with more space for mum and dad to store their belongings and rest.
